We are just a couple who love to find new and exciting things to do together. As you can imagine this involves lots of time and money. We have found a way to use deal sites such as groupon, living social, and many more to save as well as get ideas for new dates. Here is where we share our experiences with you.

Sagebrush Ranch-Groupon-Z
This was a neat groupon! We picked this up in preparation for our trip to Vegas. It promised Christmas Caroling on Horseback. Neat concept, right? We got to the site, which was in the middle of what seemed like a residential area. (rental car was a must to this location) We waited for what seemed like a long time twards the front of the property with several other groups waiting past the time when we were supposed to set out. The owner/operators finally showed up, and got us all singed in, forms signed, etc. We all got assigned horses, the kiddies got spots in a horse drawn wagon. We all even got our own christmas lights on our horses to light up the trail, and make things a little more festive. We rode for quite a while, finally getting back, they took us out to a bonfire, where there was hot dogs, cider, hot chocolate, marshmallows, and other food items. The food was good, but no vegetarian option was provided. I would do this again, but only if i was bringing kids along.

Vegas Baloon Rides
I was looking to outdo myself a bit when i saw the groupon for the "hot air baloon" pop up. I quickly bought it, and hid it away so that my "better half" would not see it. Cut to us being actually in Vegas, Tom the pilot/driver/host/guide picked us up, and took us out to a random starbucks outside of town where they threw up test baloons to check the weather. Things finally behaved enough where we could apparently fly. We went out to the launch site, and blew up the baloon, and began our sailing adventure. It was I thought a great deal of fun, I got the pleasure of surprising my "better half", and we had a great time from start to finish. The only "knock" I have against Vegas Baloon rides (other than the weather that they couldnt control causing our first attempt to get canceled) was that we had to share the experience with another couple. If you do go with "Vegas Baloon Rides" you will share with at least one other couple, and potentially two other couples. I would definetely reccomend it to someone even at full price(I dont feel the need to go again though).

Hoover Dam Bus Tour company - Groupon - L
This was on of the first things we did when we went to Vegas. It picked us up right from our hotel which was awesome because we didn't have to catch a cab (which in Vegas is really expensive). Then we spent about an hour on the bus listening to our guide go on and on about the history of Vegas. It was very educational, but I felt like he talked a bit too much (on the way home he talked less which was nicer). When we got to there we stopped for a brief photo opt overlooking the dam. Then the bus driver dropped us off and basically said "Ok, here are your tickets to the tour, be back in 2 hours." We were then free to do what we wanted. The driver recommended we do the tour first so that we didn't get stuck there when our bus left. So we headed down with everyone else on our coach bus. The tour was very nice, they start you off with a video and then take you down into a couple different areas of the dam and give you some information and history. It took longer than the hour estimate, mostly because of waiting for elevators. Then they set us free to the lookout area and a little exhibit room which we barely skimmed because we wanted to see the video as well as eat since it was like one o'clock and we had not had any food. Unfortunately with the time we had we were only able to eat from their little cafe place that was more of a burger and fries place. I really wish they had given us more time. The bus then picked us up and we made another scenic photo op spot and headed back to Vegas. When we neared our destination we got to stop by the Ethel M chocolate factory for a few minutes to view the tour, sample and buy chocolate and see the light covered cactus. Once again, though, I felt like not enough time was provided. The bus driver then took everyone's hotel location and dropped everyone off. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend it to any! It was a great deal and it filled our day pretty well even though I felt like they could have dragged it out a bit longer.
